About the Stones
Amonst the rarest and most interesting of items found in the Pacific region, these stones are known as Ventifacts.They are a rare phenomenon caused through an unusual combination of volcanic activity and climatic conditions.
Geological studies have shown that these stones have been subject to some two hundred and fifty thousand years of weathering. The pillar stones are phonolitic crystalline basalt and are so hard, they ring when struck. Unique for landscaping.
